Creo que el Rugby Argentino debe definir su propio camino, que no es otro que le vienen marcando sus clubes, sus jugadores no rentados, sus jugadores rentados y sus Pumas. Los Pumas son la cima de la gran pirámide que debe brillar y sintetizar lo que todos los demás hacemos.

Para que ello ocurre, dirigentes, desarrolladores de juego, coachs, referees, voluntarios, periodismo y los jugadores debemos ser parte de ese EQUIPO que es el RUGBY ARGENTINO.

Participar en el Hemisferio Sur no es lo aconsejable. El esfuerzo economico y logístico es enorme y poco sustentable en el tiempo. Conformar elites para Torneos regionales va contra nuestra cultura de clubes y creo que seria un fracaso deportivo y económico.

Deberíamos volcar nuestras energias en desarrollar torneos locales de alta competencia de clubes a nivel Regional y Nacional, con mucho sustento de coaching, referato y marketing, buscando la máxima excelencia, a fin de que esos jugadores estén lo mas cerca posible de la Alta Competencia rentada, con fuerte apoyo de la IRB. Para ello debemos tener una organización muy eficaz, de altísimo nivel.

Participar en torneos internacionales de segundo orden, como Churchil Cup, y las ventanas disponibles de la IRB. Tratar de jugar ventanas como locales en Europa, en España, para mostrar que somos negocio y aspirar a incorporarnos al Hemisferio Norte.

Hoy, sin competencia regular, nuestros Pumas están entre los 5 mejores equipos del Mundo. Para mantenernos, debemos apoyarnos en nuestras fortalezas, que no son otras que los valores que transmiten nuestros jugadores, aprendidos en sus clubes.

No es romanticismo. Es lo que tenemos como fortaleza, que debemos reforzarla con altisima organización y PASION.

Como presidente de la UAR generó importantes decisiones, como la de permitir que jugasen en el seleccionado jugadores profesionales en tiempos en los que no estaba permitido por los estatutos; contratar a un coach extranjero (Alex Wyllie) y mudarse al Monumental para los test con las potencias del Sur.

We should turn our energies on developing local tournaments high club competition at regional and national levels, with much support coaching, refereed and marketing, looking for the highest excellence, so that these players are as close as possible to the High rented Competition , With strong support from the IRB. To this end we have a very effective organization of the highest quality.

Participating in international tournaments second order, as Churchil Cup, and windows available from the IRB. Trying to play windows as local in Europe, in Spain, to show that business and we aspire to join the Northern Hemisphere.

Today, without regular competition, our Pumas are among the best teams in the World 5. To keep us, we must build on our strengths, which are not others that the values we pass our players, learned in their clubs.

It is not romanticism. This is what we as a fortress, we must strengthen it with altissima organization and passion.
